So as everyon knows i had the euro tour in May. That was so amazing! I dont know where to start.
The trip began in hamburg moving onward to berlin. The next day we went to Prag, then Vienna. After Vienna I lost count of which day it was! So after Vienna we went to Italy..a small town called Lido de jolo and Venice! Then we went to Geneva , Switzerland and then to Paris france! finishing up in Brussels! So much happend! The last day in Brussels was terribly sad. But we all knew in a few days we would be seeing each other again at the distrcit conference! At the District conference I had to say good bye to everyone for the last time! It was so sad! Like in a movie! eeryone was n the train waving good bye and i was on the platform.

The friends i have made from this exchange will be with me forever. THey are a fantastic group of people and I could not of wished to meet better!

Now I am on my europe travel with my dad. It was going good..until the second day.
He got pick pocketed. Losing his credit card and drivers license. Then two days later we were in Rome and the car got broken into and all my stuff was gone. I no longer have a blazer or my german flag that everyone signed. My blanket that i have had since i was a baby was also in the bag, along with many gifts and clothing items. ]=
we are now outside of venice. We tried to get an earlier flight back but it costs 500$ each. =(

Hi everyone!
I am going on the europe tour on thursday! Thats in 4 days! I will be on the tour until june 2. Then i am seeing my father on june 4 for a wuick meal then he is off to sweden for work. Then on June 9 he is back and him and I are going on our own europe tour. I arrive home on June 23!
My exchange is year is almost over! Time flies i guess. =)

...and that is how change happens. One gesture. One person. One moment at a time.
Hi everyone! So I switched host family's 2 weeks ago. The second week i was with them i went on a week long trip with my friend Tobias and his family. I had a great time. Then the day after I got back from the trip my new host family took me to Berlin. There I met another exchange student from mexico and also a friend from Bad Oldesloe. =) Berlin has a lot of history and there were many museums and things too look at! =) Check out the pictures!

So I only have 10 weeks until I am flying back to Canada. It breaks down into 4 weeks of school. Then 3 weeks on the euro tour, then 1 more week of school and then my father comes and him and I are making our own little tour for 2 weeks then   thats it. CRAZY. The time has gone by fast in the last half of the year!

Hi People. So munich was amazing! It was fabulous to see Philipp and Ella again! =) It was so wierd being able to understand their german. If anybody is curius as too what Bayernish music sounds like youtube "Im Radio ist ein Kücken" Its  really dumb. Yea so nothing much else has happend. I brought my german flag to the school today and have started to get people to sign it. I only have one silver sharpie though and i think it is already running out =( So that is a bit of a problem. But yea nothing else really. Please look at the pictures and comment and whatever =P Bis  Später!

Hi everyone. I am just sitting in my room with Emilio. Just as update i gave a presentation to my english class in school about stereotypes. No big deal...BUT i got all good reviews. In Germany after you give a presentation everyone has to give you a review back. It is a very interesting way of telling if you did a good job or not. So also mama and noah came here and we went to london and met some family and my pen pal. It was really fun. I missed them a lot it was wonderful to see them again. Saying good bye wasn't so hard. Haha. Well i mean it was, but it wasn't as sad as the first time. So yea thats all.

Merry Christmas everyone! Indeed it is christmas already. There is not as much snow as there is at home, but there is a small amount =) It is 8 degrees outside =O crazy!

The Second Inbound Orientation was last weekend. It was fun. It is crazy when all the exchange students get together. I almost forgot how crazy! We went bowling and to Lübeck and had a big meeting thing on Sunday. We were very busy! The orientation was hosted by my town so it was cool that I didn't need to go anywhere =)

Anyway its christmas. =) HOLIDAY CHEER. ha! i have some pictures i would like to upload and stuff. So have a wonderful new years! and a

Homesickness is the distress or impairment caused by an actual or anticipated separation from the specific home environment or attachment objects.
So everyone is wanting an update! UPDATE TIME!!

Homesick...as you can tell.. is what I am, and have been for a while. Homesickness can escalate to a point that i did not think possible. For a few days I felt like it would be easier to sit at home and sleep. It was almost like a depression. That was when I started talking to my friends. I called out to a few people in my district in germany and everyone from the district back in Canada. They were all sympathetic. They knew what I was going through because they have all had it. They are all supportive and they confirmed that my worst fear would never come true.
I had feared that if I went home early then everyone would look down on me and think bad of me, but nobody would. They all support me. It's an amazing feeling to know that there are people who can understand and without even realizing it make the course of your future change by a few simple words.
I had also spoken with a few of my class mates. Their reactions didn't affect me as much as the rotary people had, but they still encouraged me to do whatever i felt would be best. They told me that they have never been away so long from their family and that they can't understand my homesickness, but if i leave they would miss me. It was touching.

ANYWAY>>>>>

There are still plenty of things to say.  Lets start with the most recent and work backwards. So first... I am packing my bags to switch families. My new family is Family Goliasch. They are very nice family and I am very happy to be able to live with them. Although I will miss Family Boll, I am excited for the change. Family Boll was very welcoming and I am glad to have been welcomed into such a family.
In my music class we must learn how to play a song. (in groups of course) my group chose "Gives You Hell" by the all american rejects. Imke is the singer, Lucas is the drummer, Marvin is a back up singer and Jule is a bass player. So I got stuck with guitar. (oh by the way none of us know how to play any of these instruments) In this song ( if you have never heard it) has a very big guitar part. It is a main instrument. It is heard all through out the song. So ya know.. its been a week and a half... Its.. ya...its coming along =/ My problem is not that i can't play the guitar.. because i know the notes I have the sheet music and i know where to put my fingers and all of this. My problem is that I don't have an actual guitar to play.
So while listening to the song on youtube, Julian comes behind me and says let me show you something. And that my friends is how I find out that there are some very VERY talented people in my class.

Above is a link to a song. This song is composed and created y a single person in my class. The cover art is designed by another. They are incredibly talented. I have asked Tim ( the creator) to show me how he does it and he has. It is incredible. The setup he has is spectacular. It makes me want to try.
In my geography the students had to make projects about the different aspects of a beach and some energy... i am not actually too sure... but there is this one guy named Alex and he has a macbook and an iphone. He uses this program called keynote ( which i recently purchased) it is much like powerpoint but the apple version. But the amazing part is that you can use your iphone or ipod as a remote. So Alex hooked up his computer to the projector turned down the screen display on his computer and sat down in his seat next to me. I said how are you going to control it. He shows me his phone and it has a picture of a ..uhm.. that thing that professors use.. its at the front of the class room... usually has a piece of paper or two on it.. like a presenters stand.. i don't know.. anyway.. and I asked what is it and then he proceeded to show me. It was awesome. the projector showed exactly what he was doing and it was controlled from his phone. It was so weird, no one was touching the computer it was all somewhere else. Absolutely amazing.
Then there was my birthday. It was marvellous. I got many great gifts and the cake was delicious. I got hugs from many people and many pieces of cake and Happy birthday or.. a form of it at least was sung to me in german. It was quite amusing.
So now I have been in Germany for almost four months. My german is not as good as i had hoped it would be by now, but i can not complain because i have helped many people with their english skills. ;)
I have figured out that the students in my school expect me to just automatically speak german because they can speak english. Today I finally explained that german won't come to me like that unless they help me so that it does. I actually had to explain to them that they have to have patience and instead of telling me that i need to speak german and continuing to speak english because i can't answer right away, they need to be calm and the answer will be there. I never thought i would have to explain that.  First for everything I guess. =)
So there are 7 months left... Or I can think of it as there are only 7 months left. Or I can think.. tomorrow is thursday. One more day until the weekend.

I HAVE NOW ADDED PICTURES FROM THE DENMARK TRIP!

HELLO! =)

Sorry for the long gap between the last entry and this one, but there has been very little time where I can sit down an tell you all about what is happening! There is just soo much!

So currently I have two weeks vacation. I know the very first day was a holiday because it was the day that the north and south part of Germany were united. But I am still not sure why we have two weeks randomly in Oktober. NO COMPLAINTS!

Last week (the first week of the holidays) my host family took me to Denmark with them! It was so awesome! We went to this castle and it was huge! I swear every name mentioned in the castle had the name Frederick.  Reiner and I also went on a HUGE bike ride! It was fun and the beach was beautiful!  We also went to Copenhagen! That was stunning. It was so crazy to be standing in Copenhagen and being like oh snap! I am in Copenhagen! It was so crazy. Lotta and I went to a Guiness World Records place and a Ripley's World Records place. We also saw a Louis Vuitton store. That place was stacked with security guards and a whole lot of chinese people inside. =)

We also got a chance to go to sweden for a day. That was pretty cool. It only took 20 minutes to get from denmark to sweden. WIERD! In Sweden I also got to see Tanner from my Rotary District in Canada who is on an exchange to Sweden. It was so cool. We were walking down the street than I saw him walking the other way and I was like whoa! AWESOME! So we talked for a bit then we had to go. When we were back in Denmark Lotta was meeting a friend that she went on exchange with in Brazil and it turns out that the friend also has an exchange student from Canada! AND...her name is Emily and she lives an hour away from me! CRAZY!

Over all it was a great holiday. Only one more week left until school starts again.
On the 27 of Oktober there is a Hamburgtag, a day in Hamburg where the exchange students and some of the Rotex members go on a tour around Hamburg.

AS WELL... in one month tomorrow it will be my birthday! HA! =D BIRTHDAY IN GERMANY! =D

Thats all for now! Tschüss! =)

Hello All!!! =)
Guten Tag! Alles gut?
Ich bin sehr müde. =P

So I hope everyone is doing good. I am doing very well!

I just had my first Inbound Orientation and it was spectacular. All of the exchange students are amazing.
I now know many people around the world. Some from Ecuador, Mexico, Alaska, Finland, Switzerland, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, and many more places. =)

The weekend was great, except for the part where I got very sea sick (seekrank auf deutsch) on the way to Helgoland. Helgoland is a very beautiful Island. Everything is very cheap there. I saw a G-Shock watch for 59 Euros! =O I regret not buying it.

The orientation was great, that is all I have to say. Check out my facebook I have lots ofpictures from the Orientation, but I will also be uploading
