Hello!
Yesterday was Saturday the 1st of September. It was a great saturday. Emilio ( who is an exchange student from Argentina) Tobias and I all went to the Hamburg Dungeon. IT WAS SCARY! WHOLY MOLY! There was this one part near the end and we all sit around this cage and there is this guy sitting in it. and then all of a sudden all the lights go off except for the one that shines of him. Intense music starts to play and he starts to twitch! ITS SCARY! Then the lights when off, and it just so happened that I was sitting in just the right spot. When the lights went off he put his hand out side of the cage and when the light came back on it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE! I screamed so loudly! It was the best seat. Then he was asked me question in german and I was too afraid to answer to Tobias told me to say the answers. I had to say my name and then where I come from. The guy then said in English that I am different from everyone else and then the lights went out. Then it came back on. AND HE WAS OUTSIDE OF THE CAGE! he was right in front of me and was like calling my name! It was the scariest thing.
All of it was scary. But that is the part that got me really good.
After the Dungeon we went on a boat tour. We stopped at this building that looked like a boat. It was really cool. Lots of stairs.. I think I am beginning to see a pattern.
Next Saturday Emilio and I are going to the beach. I don't know why. But apparently we are.
During my very little free time during the week I  plan on shopping, because I haven't had any time to do that.
Today I will go for a bike ride with my friend Jan and we will go get ice cream.
Oh yesterday night Emilio, Tobias, Sabine and Hanno ( Emilio's host parents) and I saw the fireworks in Hamburg. THEY WERE GORGEOUS. It was just amazing. We also went of the ferris wheel and saw a part of the city lit up with lights. It was outstanding.

Thats all for now!

Today my friend Tobias ( A Boy who also went on a exchange, but his was to new zealand last year) and I went to Hamburg for the day. We hiked up a church. There was 544 steps one way and 1088 in total. It was crazy! We sat by the harbour and talked. I also ate Düner (pronounced like doona). As well when we were going to the underwater tunnel to go to the other side of the river a bird took a crap on my camera! MY BIG AMAZING CAMERA! it hit and splattered on my jeans hand camera and jacket. It was horribly gross. We (we being I and toby laughing his butt off) cleaned it up quickly, but I really need to clean my camera! But in total I had a lot of fun and I hope to do it again! =)

Thats all I have to say in german right now. But I  hope to improve. There are probably lots of spelling errors and grammatical errors and such, but what I was trying to say was:

Good day all!
I am not in german lessons. I have a lesson everyday.  My german is not good. I would like to be better. My school is very good and my friends are nice!

I live in Bad Oldesloe. The street is Krahnkoppel. I am very happy.

Yea thats all. I have met a lot of people and just recently I met a few other exchange students who went to the U.S. and New Zealand from Germany. I can't recall their names at this moment, but i tried to find them on facebook when I knew their names. That still didn't go to well. I hope to contact them and we can get together. It will be nice with someone else knowing what I am going through. Lotta knows too, but she didn't get homesick. So its not the same.

I MISS PEANUT BUTTER! <3

The food that Heike and Reiner make is always delicious. Like crazy delicious. I can always smell it when I am in the house. It makes my mouth water.

There are lots of hot guys here, just incase anyone is wondering. Good thing for buisness cards! ;) I am just kidding. The only difference between the Canadian boys and the German boys is that almost every boy here (that I have met anyway) has blue eyes. They are gorgeous blue eyes.

I believe that the Chocolate is better than the ice cream. I am weak when it comes to chocolate. I have bought 3 Chocolate bars for my german lessons (they are long and sugar will keep me awake) and I eat them on our 15 minute break.

In my german lessons I am the youngest there. Everyone is old. Today we were talking about in 20 years what do you see yourself doing. Most people in the class (there is only 8 of us) will be 50 or 40. I am like.. I will be 30. I plan on working. =D I am a baby compared to these people. They are all very nice. I am also the only person who goes to school in the morning then to german lessons in the morning. They all sleep then go to german lessons. Pft.

Thats all for now I guess... uhmm... I met Thomas (my rotary counsellor) he is really cool. =) As well as Olaf. I see him lots and he is really cool as well. Sie sind fenomenal! [ they are fenomenal]

Bis einen tag! Tschüss

So I have been going to school for one week and a day. The school is SO DIFFERENT from the ones back home. Its like they pick classes out of a hat. Its crazy. My german lessons start next monday. They run from 1:30pm until 7:30pm everyday. I will be going to the morning classes of school, taking a train to Hamburg then going to the school where my lessons are. Everybody is very understanding and most of the students are trying to teach me german and i am helping them all with english! =) In the english class everyone has to speak English, so that is my second favourtie class. Music is my first, which by the way I got transferred into (thank goodness).
Sad news: Because I have to take german lessons until 7:30 at night and it takes 30 minutes to train back to Bad Oldesloe I will not be able to play volleyball for four weeks. It is saddening. I only have gym class once a week as well.
On friday in gym class we did parkour (For anyone who doesn't know what it is, I would highly suggest looking it up on youtube or something). It was so hard! So much for normal gym classes. And the explanation from someone was that it was like baseball. At the end of class I was thinking.. "ya just like baseball" -_-
I have made many friends. I can go talk to everyone and everyone will talk to me. It's really fun. On saturday my friend Alex and I are going to Hamburg for shopping! =) I am so excited.
Last saturday Heike and Reiner had their 25th wedding anniversary. It was fun and they were up until the sun was rising. That's INSANE! One person came and made fresh shrimp. It was DELICIOUS. I could of ate all the shrimp he brought by myself.
Last thursday I went to my first Rotary Meeting. It was fun. The food was delicious and everyone there was very friendly. =)

HI! so my first day of school was today. It was really good I made lots of new friends! I figured out that students dont go to the teachers, the teachers go to you , except for a few classes that need certain things. The people all speak english , some better than others. Everyone is friendly. Some of the people were joking in one of our classes. The teacher asked a question and they would answer in english so I would understand as well then everyone would look at me and I would do thumbs up and smile. It was awesome. I have the same classes with all of the same people. it's so crazy. I kept asking people "we are in this classroom together next block!?!??!" Sadly though I am not in any music courses, but I plan on going to talk to the course organizer sometime and ask if I may be switched. Because currently I am in art...which is not my forté unless stick figures are suddenly A+ material.

I WENT TO A VOLLEYBALL PRACTICE TODAY! just saying! 2 hours of hardocre volleyball. I was playing volleyball in german!I have practive 3 times a week for two hours each. Starting at 6pm on Mondays and Thursdays going until 8pm, then again on friday at 6:30pm going until 8:30pm. CRAZY!

Today we (Lotta and I) went to a theme park. Uhm I can not recall the name right now but it was something german. It was really fun =P Enough said. ;)

Yesterday I went to my school and found out my courses. I have german, english, physics ,spanish, history, geography, math, chemistry, music, gym...I don't know, some other ones as while.

Then at night we went to Hamburg and we ate dinner at a portugese/spanish place. It was delicious. After dinner we went to an old fire rescue ship and had hot chocolate.

I took the train today. Its sooooooo smooth. WAY BETTER THAN THE BUS. You can hardly tell you are moving unless you look outside the window.

Charlotte and I went to Lübeck today. It is a gorgeous town. There were lots of old buildings to look at.

Yesterday, there was a barbecue at our neighbours house and we had Bratworst (I don't know how to spell that) and beer. I had my first taste of German beer. Only a sip. It was alright. Lime and Mint flavoured. I can't say I want to have anymore. =P

I can't wait for school to start and to meet more people.

Tomorrow I believe we are going to see my school and get a train pass, as well as some other things that I can't remember. Then on Freitag (friday ,hehe my german) we are going to a small amusement park. Can't wait =)

Today was my first day in Germany. The first flight was long (11 hours) and boring. There was not much to do, but I did get to sit beside a nice guy. ALSO it was the emergency exit so LOTS of leg room. The second flight was only 45 minutes, which went by soooo fast compared to the first flight. My first host family, The Boll's. Were waiting for me when I had my bags and was exiting the Hamburg Airport. It was great. Lotta was holding a Canadian flag while Reiner and Heike were holding a sign that said Welcome Emily. As well Olaf was there giving a wonderful welcome greeting and taking pictures! It was an amazing thing to see.

I am surprised I have not fallen asleep yet. The time difference was noticeable when I should of been asleep and wasn't, and now just because of my body's clock I am wide awake and it is 7pm.

The first thing I got to eat in Germany was ice cream. I had a stomach ache though and couldn't finish it. IT WAS SOOOO DELICIOUS. The airplane food ruined my stomach though.

I have toured a bit of Bad Oldesloe and I am unpacked into my new bedroom.

I didn't get a picture of cedric on the plane because there were no empty seats to put him in, and between the frankfurt flight and the hamburg flight there was only an hour. So there was no time to even go to the bathroom. OHHH speaking of bathroom, the first plane that I was on had 5 bathroom stalls downstairs. DOWNSTAIRS!!!! crazy! I know.

I will be posting pictures later, but for now I am starting to get a bit tired.  Sweet Dreams everyone! =)

Today was my last day at home. I am excited and sad all at the same time. I spent all day with my boyfriend Devin. It was fabulous! We hiked, did some road clearing, attempted to drive on water, and had a wonderful dinner. Not only is he cute, but he also treats a girl right. Thanks Devin.

Even though Devin may be amazing, Cedric is still my main man.. and he had a lot to say about not sharing todays adventures with him  =/

Tomorrow I am off to Vancouver. I will see both sides of my family and I head out Sunday afternoon....off too reclose my suitcase  =)

So the countdown is on! Only 3 days left until I am on my plane flight to Germany! My bags are all packed and Cedric has got his passport out and ready.
